Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

On July 6 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, during the Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration with the Colorado Symphony, Grateful Guitars Foundation will present the first-ever Doug-Irwin Certified “Dire Wolf” bass to Oteil Burbridge.

Built by luthier Bill Asher and inspired by Jerry Garcia’s original Wolf guitar, the Dire Wolf bass brings that legacy into new hands and a new register honoring both Jerry’s sound and Oteil’s dedication to keeping the music alive and well.

In recognition of this gift, GGF will also present a directed $5,000 donation to Can’dAid, supporting their arts and music education program.

This evening with the Colorado Symphony presented by 97.3 KBCO will also feature Melvin Seals, Jacklyn LaBranch, Tom Hamilton, Duane Trucks, and Lady Chi, artists carrying forward the sound and spirit of our favorite music. This evening is about honoring what came before and what’s still being made. We’d love for you to be there.
