Celebrating 40 Years of Zero: Steve Kimock’s Wolf Tribute

Zero’s 40th anniversary shows November 8-9 at the Mystic Theater were a joyful celebration of music and legacy honoring the band’s four-decade journey and included a presentation from the Grateful Guitars Foundation to guitarist Steve Kimock –  Wolf 2.0 #4. Crafted by renowned luthier Bill Asher, the guitar is a beautiful recreation of the classic Wolf, designed with the same spirit and craftsmanship that make it a perfect fit for Kimock’s dynamic performances.

Reflecting on the gift, Kimock shared, “It’s an extraordinary instrument and a really touching vote of confidence that I’d be worthy of such a gift. I’m humbled and truly grateful. Beyond that, it’s an inspiration to hold and play, and it’s sure to advance my playing. It’s a very special gift at this point in my life.”

At its core, the Grateful Guitars Foundation’s mission is to provide musicians with world-class instruments that elevate their artistry and allow them to continue inspiring their audiences. This moment with Kimock underscores the Foundation’s dedication to supporting live music, made possible through the generosity of donors.
